Bahamas Destination Wedding

Natasha and Alvin had a gorgeous destination wedding on Grand Bahamas Island at a beautiful private residence on the water. I also had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session earlier this year in the Boston Public Gardens.

Kate & Joe

After getting ready at a cottage in Annisquam, Gloucester, Kate and Joe had a beautiful wedding on the lawn of the Ocean View Inn with a great reception following inside.

Jamie & Billy

Billy and Jamie were married at the Holly Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell, Masachusetts. The bride, the wedding ceremony, and the church were all beautiful. Then it was off to the Andover Country Club for a great reception.

Mary & Jake

Mary and Jake were married on the beach at Bristol Beach in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The weather was perfect! They then had a reception at the Coonamessett Inn located in Falmouth also.

Erica & Justin

Erica and Justin had a beautiful wedding at St. Marys Church in Bristol Rhode Island followed by a reception at the gorgeous Glenn Manor House.

Jenn & Pat

Jenn and Pat got perfect weather for their wedding and reception at the Ocean View Inn in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

Samantha & John

I had a lot of fun photographing Samantha's and John's engagement session up in Alton, New Hampshire at Camp Brookwoods. And it's worth the trip - it's really a beautiful spot. I'm really looking forward to photographing their wedding next month!

After a few fun getting ready photos at the Andover Marriot, Robin and Collin had a touching wedding ceremony at St. Patrick's Church in Stoneham, Massachusetts and a really fun reception at the Andover Country Club.

OK, it was a little warm on Saturday, but that didn't stop Katie and Dan from having a marvelous wedding. They were married at the Old Ship Church First Parish in Hingham -- a beautiful church. The reception was held outside in a gorgeous setting in Cohasset.

Alyssa and Rich had a wonderful church ceremony in Haverhill, Massachusetts and then a great reception at the Andover Country Club.

Michelle & Seth

Michelle and Seth had a wonderful wedding in Hull, Massachusetts at the Clarion Nantasket Beach Hotel Resort and Spa.

Natasha and Alvin were married at Boston City Hall and we then went to the Boston Public Garden for a few photographs on a beautiful day. They will be enjoying a destination wedding in the Bahamas in September.

A Walk on Duxbury Beach

I had a great casual engagement session with Mary, Jake and Mary's daughter Kiley at Duxbury Beach in, of course, Duxbury, Massachusetts. Gorgeous weather! Kiley who can be s-h-y, seemed to take a break from hiding her head for this photography session. I think she was having too much fun at the beach with Mary and Jake to worry about me being there.

Jenn & Rich

Jenn and Rich had a fantastic wedding ceremony and reception at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge Massachusetts. It was clearly a joy for them. Rich's daughter gave a moving toast. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. And she is only about nine years old.

Rachel & Craig

Rachel got ready in her home in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Then took a short ride in a limosine and then a horse drawn carriage to Casa Di Fior in Wilmington, Massachusetts for a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony where she was married to Craig. You could not have asked for better weather. They then had a wonderful reception inside in the Azalea Room.

Wedding Photojournalist Association

Just a quick announcement as we enter the heart of the wedding season in Boston, Massachusetts, and New England: I’m really happy to say that I have been accepted into the Wedding Photojournalist Association. This organization has high standards and carefully reviews each applicant’s portfolio of wedding photography before making their decision. As the WPJA’s website states: “Less than 5% of wedding photographers out there qualify for membership.” So, psych !

Huong's and Tu's Engagement

Huong and Tu had a beautiful traditional Vietnamese engagement at the bride's home in Randolph, Massachusetts, followed by a wonderful feast of food.

Alicia & Mark

Alicia and Mark were married at the State Room in the heart of Downtown Boston, Massachusetts. The ceremony and setting were beautiful and during the reception Mark and Alicia showed off a great Texas two-step.

Alice and Hsi-Wu were married at the Emeth Chapel in Burlington, Massachusetts. The ceremony was beautiful. They also had a wonderful reception at the Hillview Country Club.

Fall Engagement Session

Venassa and Jared picked a beautiful spot for engagement photos - Slater Memorial Park in Rhode Island. They didn't get engaged there, but both of them had been going to the park for years.

Leila and Joe had a beautiful ceremony at St Josephs Church in Lawrence and then a great reception at the Andover Country Club.

Bob & Kim

Bob and Kim live in California, but got married in Newton Centre at Sacred Heart because Bob grew up here. Kim found my website online and contacted me about photographing their wedding. Turns out, Bob and I knew each other from high school. It was great to see him and to meet Kim. Small world. Great couple. Beautiful wedding.

Tony and Renee were married at St. George Orthodox Church of Boston, a beautiful church in West Roxbury. The reception was at Mosleys on the Charles in Dedham. They make a great couple!

Beth and Amy were married at The First Parish in Lincoln, a classic New England church. The ceremony was wonderful and the reception at The Maynard Country Club was a blast!

Katie and Evan were married at the Union Chapel in North Hampton New Hampshire. The Chapel is beautifully situated with the ocean in the background. Before the ceremony I shot a few photos of Katie and her bridesmaids at the Rockledge Manor. After the ceremony a few more photos including down on the rocks. Then we were off to Exeter New Hampshire for the reception.

Summer Night in the Boston Public Garden

Over the weekend, I covered a fantastic sailing event held in Boston Harbor -- the 5th Annual Flip Flop Regatta . The Regatta was started by the Ally Foundation in memory of Alexandra Nicole Zapp. This was the regatta's fifth and biggest year with over sixty sailboats participating.

Alisa & Sandeep

Alisa & Sandeep got married at Zero Garden Street in Harvard Square at Christ Church Cambridge. It was a beautiful day, wedding, and couple. Here they are walking out of the church after the ceremony.

It's not easy getting this many people to say "cheese," but it's fun to try.

They had a fantastic reception at Oleana also in Cambridge.

The atmosphere was outstanding . . .

And so was the food!

Kelly & Robert

Kelly and Robert had a beautiful wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel at Rowes Wharf. Robert and his family are from England and Kelly and her family are from New York so they decided to meet part way in between.

Mary & Chris in the Boston Public Gardens

Mary and Chris had a beautiful ceremony in the Boston Public Gardens. We met the week before the wedding at the location to do a walk through of the ceremony. While going through the location and timing of the wedding, we also talked about specific shots they were interested in capturing.

Plum Island

Three of us went up to Newburyport yesterday and had clams at the Thirsty Whale. We then drove down to the Parker National Wildlife Refuge which is on the southern part of Plum Island.

It is an absolutely beautiful spot and the weather was perfect.

Much of the area was block off becaue the Piping Plover is nesting, but it is so large (4,662 acreas) that there was still plenty to see. Above is a shot of a Tricolored Black Bird, but we are not huge bird watchers so if we have missed the mark let me know. Also a shot of a Seagull and the open marsh.

Road Trip to New Hampshire

Lisa and I went up to Porstmouth, New Hampshire for lunch at The Portsmouth Brewery awesome place. Great brews of course, but the food is really good too. Their selection goes beyond burgers and fries. Then we couldn't resist getting a few cookies from this little bakery.

Spring in Boston - Finally and Beautiful

I was finally inspired today to do what I have been planning to do for some time - start a blog in which I can talk about and display photography. Kudos go out to Becker for the inspiration. He has a great blog and fantastic photographs: http://www.beckersblog.com/.

It also inspired me to take the camera out on this beautiful Boston spring day and take some photos. This one is of sail boats on the Charles River.
